The Recent Changes

The last three weeks or so have been very...interesting. Aside from relocating my sister and her family I have been shuffling a few things of my own around. 

I quit my job as E-Commerce Product Photographer / Team Lead at OpticsPlanet.

Now, I didn't just up and quit mind you, I prepared a resignation letter, gave two weeks and had that dreadful conversation with my manager (who had actually just started something like 6 weeks prior!) that I was leaving the company. It was difficult at times but I feel that it will be worth it to move on to my new endeavor...

Two weeks ago I was asked to be the Product Photographer for Claire's! Yes, THAT Claire's-the ones we see in every mall. Yeah. I am BEYOND excited. I can't wait to get back into the fashion / soft goods / etc. product category that the last 7-8 years of my career has been. It makes me really proud and happy to know that all of the hard work I have put into m career has taken me to companies that I'd love to work with.
Like with all special events the lovely Matt(hew) took me to my favorite restaurant, The Chicago Diner for the bet milkshakes and food since he is pretty much the most awesome person I know.

We made it a complete date by visiting the Gorilla Tango Theatre to see another of their burlesque shows "Temple of Boob". Now, when we say Boobs and Goombas I knew and understood the references that the dances and stripteases were well, referring to. Well, I have never seen the Indiana Jones trilogy so I was left pretty clueless but 1. I knew Matt(hew) was enjoying the show and 2. The girls were awesome and really great performers.
So anyways. I've got a week off and there are a lot of preparations that I need to do to begin this shift in work so, I've got a few things to share about this experience in the following week.
Did I mention that I am excited?
